Inyo ABCs and First Reader

Mobile Game

Begin your child's reading journey with our engaging and fun first reader! Reading is adventurous, imaginative, and enchanting. Our new and young audience should be introduced to that right from the start. In this beautifully hand painted watercolor game, kids start learning to read with interactive stories, short vowel sounds, the alphabet of course, and lots of games to reinforce what they learn and keep them focused and eager for more. Looking for an educational game you can trust? Here it is!

Young readers (age 3-7) meet loveable characters like Sid the pig (“I” book), Sam the ant (“A” book), Gus the bug (“U” book), and many more in 6 full interactive watercolor books. Our game is delightfully voiced and instructed by kids to keep young readers engaged and able to play independently. We follow common core standards with special attention toward accuracy and consistency to avoid confusing or frustrating the young reader. Your child will enjoy our adorable cast of creatures while learning to read, and will find reading is a gateway to discovery and adventure! Perhaps they’ll even forget they’re learning.

What's Included?

Songs

“Inyo ABCs and First Reader” includes four musical variations of the ABC song. Your child can sing along or simply sink into their bean bag sack and soak it up. They’ll hear and see each letter of the alphabet in this time-tested tune.

Alphabet Book

The alphabet book teaches the names of each letter, and the primary sound each letter makes (phonemes) by associating the sound with an animal. Your child will not only learn this basic building block for reading, they’ll meet some groovy adorable animals. The alphabet book has four distinct levels, progressively taking your child’s skills to the next level.

Games

“Inyo ABCs and First Reader” includes several games to support your child’s learning. The Match Game reinforces the letter names and sounds in the alphabet, associating the sounds with animals, while improving concentration, visual memory, and short term memory in 9 different levels of unlimited combinations.

Alpha Pop has 6 different levels (and a bonus level), reinforcing the letter names and sounds in the alphabet, associating capital and lower case letters, learning the alphabetical order, and finally working toward composing three letter words while sharpening hand eye coordination. Each game is randomized, so gameplay is always different.

“Inyo ABCs and First Reader” also includes the Flying Alphabet game, where letter names and sounds are again reinforced through 6 fun and challenging levels of flying through the garden as a ladybug collecting letters, and swimming under water collecting letters and kissing whales.

Five Story Books

“Inyo ABCs and First Reader” includes 5 interactive books, one for each short vowel sound, which is the core of our mobile game. Your child goes on an adventure with Sam, Jen, Sid, Tom, and Gus, where each book tells a complete short story, giving your child the experience of independently reading a book. After completing the word on each page, a part of the short story is read to your little one by our amazing cast of little ones.

As your child completes each level for each book (there are four different levels), the next skill level is unlocked. Each level gives audible assistance when your child touches the image or touches the letters to help them complete the word.

Rewards and Parent Controls and Friendly Interface

Throughout the game, the child is encouraged and rewarded with audible and visual treats, and motivated by the trophy system. After certain milestones are completed, a trophy is awarded. Your child can visit the trophy screen at any time to find out what needs to be accomplished to receive a specific trophy. As is the case throughout the game, the information is delivered audibly with visual cues so that your child can play and work independently, and you can, well, we’ll leave that up to you. Maybe, just maybe, one of these badges sings the ABCs in kitty.

You know that annoying tiny “x” when you’re trying to close an unwelcomed ad window but instead inadvertently click through to the ad? We don’t do that. Our game doesn’t contain ads or in-game purchases, and we’ve designed the interface with big clear obvious buttons and controls so your child doesn’t get frustrated trying to navigate through it. Speaking of annoying, we love our music and think you will too, but maybe not umpteen times, so we’ve added controls for you to turn off the music when your child mysteriously misplaces their headphones, again. We also anticipate that your child will love playing the games, which is why we added the ability to lock the games if you want them to focus on the books for a bit. These settings are kept behind a parental lock screen.

Download it for free, and try it out. If you like it, you can purchase the full version from within the game. Our game is safe and stays out of your business. Other than purchasing the full unlocked version, we don’t solicit in-game purchases. We don’t collect data or information of any kind. Our game doesn’t have ads. Our game doesn’t do social media stuff. Our game doesn’t require connectivity (wifi or cellular) once it’s downloaded. It's for kids for goodness sake!
